Erin West

FOUNDER and director

Erin West was born in England into a military family.  As a result, she makes friends easily and is comfortable with change.  Her children like to say that “Wherever we go in the world we run into someone Mom knows.” Personal motto - Home is just a building with my shoes inside.

Erin holds an undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in Russian Language/Minor in Chinese-Mandarin and earned a Masters of Public Health (MPH) from University of Nevada Las Vegas. She has focused primarily on Community Health Education both in graduate research and in a career. Erin has helped others improve the quality of their lives through fitness and health as a Wellness Consultant and Health Coach.

A journey to Cambodia in 2006 left an indelible and lasting impression on her. She was deeply moved by the extreme poverty and desperate circumstances in which many Cambodians live. Kindredhouse was born from an idea in 2010 on a return trip to Cambodia to establish a group of friends and family to attempt to make a difference in the lives of rural Cambodians. This organization is an extension of their shared love of culture and a strong belief in service.

Erin has two children and 2.5 grandchildren (one on the way).

Kelly Tyson

Kelly Bly Tyson was born in Baltimore MD and grew up in Northern VA just outside Washington DC. Kelly’s family is an amazing group of characters - brilliant, loving, loyal and fun.

Kelly's education and career background are in dental health. Kelly has a degree in dental hygiene and has practiced dentistry in a clinical setting since 1979. Kelly places a high value on a personal connection with her patients, in fact this is her strength. She is most fulfilled by creating friendship bonds and relating to people in a genuine way. Kelly has always donated her time and expertise to help others improve their health through dental care.

Kelly has discovered at this time in her life a need to pursue something bigger than herself. She loves colors - all of them, cotton yarn, crocheting and cats. Her guilty pleasure is Pinterest. Kelly has two great kids and four wonderful grandchildren.
